The Behavioral Health Associate (BHA) provides services to Hope support recipients by providing direct care and services to those who have challenging behaviors. The BHA may be assigned to work in an Agency home or may work with support recipients in the community or in support recipients’ homes. The BHA teaches activities of daily living, as well as social and communication skills to foster social independence. The BHA explores, develops, and assists with support recipients’ participation in community inclusion activities. The BHA provides opportunities for the support recipient to work on goals and objectives as outlined in the Plan of Care and/or support plan. The Behavioral Health Associate maintains loyalty to the organization, its beliefs, values, mission, vision, and expectations, and to the recipients of services.
