The Community Activities Specialist provides services to Hope support recipients through their work in implementing a wide variety of recreational and skill building activities and supports to maximize support recipients’ physical, social, and cognitive skills. The Community Activities Specialist leads and supports children, teens, and adults who experience disabilities within recreational and skill building activities. This position serves as a support team member through implementing plans designed to assist the support recipient in building skills useful to adapting to home, school and community environments; while utilizing methods and techniques of teaching through which full participation in recreation and skill building activities can occur. The Community Activities Specialist maintains loyalty to the organization, its beliefs, values, mission, vision, and expectations and to the recipients of services.
