The Relief Behavioral Health Associate (RBHA) provides services to Hope support recipients through their work in an Assisted Living Home where support recipients have challenging behaviors. The RBHA replaces the Behavioral Health Home Alliance Coordinator (BHHAC) on a short-term basis when the permanent live-in has days off and is responsible for oversight of the home during this time. The RBHA in this assisted living home is responsible for providing support to individuals who experience dementia, as well as co-occurring mental health diagnosis. The RBHA at the home is responsible for providing care to individuals in the least intrusive manner, assuring skills are maintained for as long as possible. The RBHA ensures the health and safety of support recipients and provides a range of services. This position includes teaching of living skills, social and communication skills, and other needed life skills for social independence and community inclusion. The RBHA leads the team of direct support employees who work in the home, ensuring the implementation of the Plan of Care and/or support plan and behavioral health protocols. This position is responsible for being in the home unless accompanying an individual out into the community, conducting Agency business, on approved time away or on designated days off.
