    We are currently searching for energetic and caring people who want to enhance the lives of people experiencing disabilities!  Join our team as an Individual Support Specialist (ISS), where you will provide direct support to individuals who experience developmental and physical disabilities.  This position focuses on teaching and modeling skills that foster independence and community integration as outlined in the Plan of Care. 


    An ISS must be comfortable with:

    ► Teaching and providing all aspects personal care

    ► Performing light housekeeping duties to ensure the home is clean and safe

    ► Transporting clients to and from personal appointments and community events

    ► Administering medications as needed

    ► Completing accurate notes and records of supports provided


    We also provide paid classroom and on-the-job training; it is not necessary for applicants to have prior experience, just a positive attitude and willingness to learn!


    All available positions require availability on the weekends and holidays. Most schedules offer afternoon and evening hours. Positions will include outdoor activities and participating in community events.



    • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required



    • Experience working with individuals with a disability preferred



    • Must be 18 years of age or older
    • Possess a valid driver's Alaska driver's license and has at least one year of driving experience (may include permit time)
    • Meets State and Agency requirements for passing a criminal background check upon hire
    • Lifts 35 pounds from a squat and kneel position on the floor
    • Obtains a tuberculin clearance at time of employment
